Description:There weren't many or at least they weren't memorable and I never quite felt fully invested in the characters to really get into them. The last quarter of the book they're on a slave ship to escape France and have to deal with the shady ship's captain. They're forced to share their quarters with women from a brothel also trying to escape the turbulent and dangerous time in France. Still, this is a well-written story with lovable characters and suspense, so it's all good. A lesbian historical romance with a time travel twist. The pair find themselves trying to survive during the time of the French Revolution and the French woman also an aristocrat disguises herself as a man to make their escape easier. However while reading the story it never did grab me as much as I thought it would and it took me a long time with many long breaks to actually finish the book.
