Asian Pacific Islander American Affairs
Description:Commission for Women Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs The core function of the Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs, much like the Hispanic Affairs and Black Affairs Commission, is to facilitate communication and dissemination of information between state government and a particular segment of Oregon's minority community. This function not only benefits the Asian and Pacific Islander Americans in our communities, it also provides the state with information on how best to provide services to all its citizens. The Commission has the served Oregon's Asian and Pacific Islander API communities since working towards economic, social, political and legal equality. This generation faces some challenging times and issues that make the Commissions work important to the community and to the State of Oregon. Your participation is equally important. While much remains to be done, the Commission is steadfast in its commitment to its mission to work toward economic, social and legal equality for Oregon's API population.
